The AeroPress brews with air pressure instead of gravity. You steep the grounds for a few seconds, then press them through a paper filter, and that short, gentle contact is why the cup comes out smooth and low on bitterness. The same little press pulls an espresso-style concentrate, a full mug, or an overnight cold brew, depending on how you grind and pour. Cleanup is one push and a quick rinse, and the whole thing packs down small, so it tends to become the brewer you actually travel with.
