Everyone gets a seat at the table.
Bayit is Hebrew for home, and a home that only works for some of its guests isn't much of one. We want this website to be easy for everyone to use, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.
What we aim for
We design and build this site to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That's the widely used standard for making websites work for people with disabilities, and it's the measure we hold our own pages to.
How we work at it
- We check color contrast so text stays readable against our backgrounds.
- Every page, menu, and form is built to work with a keyboard alone.
- Meaningful images get written descriptions, and every form field has a label and a clear error message.
- We respect your device's reduced-motion setting, and the film on our homepage has a still mode.
- We test with automated tools and by hand when we add or change a page.
Where we're still learning
We're a small, independent shop, and this site keeps growing, so we won't always get it right on the first try. A few things we link to are run by other companies: mobile ordering, checkout, email signup, maps, and Instagram. We choose those partners with care, but we don't control how their pages are built. If one of them gives you trouble, we'll still help.
If something gets in your way
Tell us, and we'll help you finish what you came to do another way while we fix it. That includes an order from the shop, a private event or office delivery request, or a job application.
